Enjoy a Straighter, Healthier Smile with Virtually Undetectable Clear Aligners

If you have crooked or crowded teeth, ClearCorrect or Invisalign can be a comfortable and convenient alternative to traditional braces.  At DeMille MacKay Dental in North Salt Lake and West Valley City, UT, we will conduct a thorough orthodontic consultation to determine your candidacy for this treatment. Fortunately, Clear aligners are suitable for a wide range of patients, including those who suffer from overall bite misalignment. If you qualify for this orthodontic option, We can provide a series of clear aligner trays that are discreet and subtle. As you rotate through the trays every few weeks, they will gradually shift your teeth and improve the aesthetic of your smile. In many cases, ClearCorrect and Invisalign can also improve your oral health and reduce your risk for future dental problems.

Are Clear Aligners Right for You?

ClearCorrect or Invisalign aligners are suitable for a wide range of orthodontic concerns. We may recommend this treatment if you struggle with:

  • Crooked or overlapping teeth
  • Tipped or rotated teeth
  • Gapped teeth
  • An overbite
  • An underbite
  • A cross bite
  • An open bite

While Clear aligners are effective for mild to moderate orthodontic issues, it may not be appropriate if you have severely misaligned teeth. In these instances, we will refer you to a trusted orthodontist while remaining an active part of your treatment plan.

Clear Aligner Treatment Process

To design comfortable and secure aligners, one of our doctors will take impressions of your teeth with a digital scanner. The resulting images are generally more accurate than standard molds, and the imaging process is much faster and more convenient. Your dentist can then manipulate the images with advanced computer software. Through this process, he can design a full series of aligner trays, each with slightly different contours. The ClearCorrect or Invisalign labs will use these designs as the technicians create the trays from smooth, transparent plastic.

If you have crooked or crowded teeth,ClearCorrect can be a comfortable and convenient alternative to traditional braces.

After you receive your aligners, you should wear each one for two weeks. With their slight variations in shape, the aligner trays will exert a gentle force on your teeth, gradually causing the teeth to shift into alignment. For optimal results, you should wear the trays for approximately 20-22 hours a day, removing them to eat and to perform daily oral hygiene. Your treatment timeframe will depend on the extent of your misalignment; however, most patients begin to see their final results in three to five months.

Why Choose Clear Aligners?

Any type of orthodontic treatment can have tremendous benefits. By straightening your teeth, orthodontia can redistribute the force of your bite, reducing your risk for dental erosion, cracked teeth, and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder. Treatment can also improve your general appearance, allowing your other facial features to shine.

While traditional braces can be quite effective, clear aligners offer a number of distinct benefits:

  • Discreet, subtle treatment: The aligners are virtually undetectable, so you will not have to deal with unsightly metal brackets. This is an especially attractive feature for adults and older teens.
  • Comfortable aligner trays: Clear aligners are typically more comfortable than braces. They exert less pressure on your teeth, and they will not irritate the inside of your lips.
  • Affordable treatment: In many cases, treatment is covered by insurance. We also extend affordable financing for your out-of-pocket expenses. Finally, because clear aligners are often faster than standard braces, it may cost less than traditional braces.
